Digital Fabrication Lab
Located in Building N Room 315, the Department of Architecture’s new Digital Fabrication Lab contains the department’s Laser cutters, vacuum forming machine and 3D printers. The spacious, fully staffed lab is open 12 hours per day during the Fall and Spring semesters (Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 10:00pm).
Six laser cutting machines offer students the flexibility to create and design laser cut and score materials with bed sizes ranging from 18 x 24 in. to 36 x 48 in. and power ratings from 75 to 100 watts.
Five production-quality Stratasys 3D printers offer students the freedom to create small-scale prototypes and models of their designs in 3D from ABS plastic. The 3D printers have a capacity of up to 12 x 10 x12 in. The department also has a 24 x 24 in. capacity vacuum-forming machine.
