Located in Building N Room 014, the Department of Architecture’s Wood Fabrication Lab offers the latest in CNC capabilities, as well as a complete array of traditional woodworking equipment. The fully staffed shop is open 12 hours per day during the Fall and Spring semesters (Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 10:00pm).
The shop contains two CNC routers. One is a typical 3 axis machine with a capacity of 36 x 48 x 4 in. The other is an Onsrud five axis machine with a capacity of 60 x 96 x 24 in., which can handle most large jobs with ease.
Our stationary power tools include table saws, planers, jointers, drill presses, bandsaws and a variety of sanding equipment setup for most student projects. We also furnish a complete set of both hand and power carving tools, drills, routers, hand sanders, and more.
The shop is available to all KSU students who have completed the online safety courses available in D2L.
