CACM Advising: Advising Process

What is Academic Advising?

Academic advising is a collaborative relationship between a student and an academic advisor within a respectful environment that values the uniqueness and diversity of our students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of this relationship is to guide you in the decision-making process throughout your academic journey.

The College of Architecture and Construction Management (CACM) advisors help students navigate through selecting your architecture major or construction management major, degree requirements, course schedules, college and university policies, and campus resources. Advising is a student-centered, on-going process that adapts with you as you gain knowledge and earn your degree!

You create the path to your career.  Advising is here to help you move forward, clear obstacles, and connect you with resources to increase your success.

  • Advising Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • CACM Advising is located in the Student Success Headquarters on the first floor of the Design 1 Building.

There are two advising office suites:  one across from the CACM Student Success Computer Lab and another to the left, upon entering the building.

  • CACM Advisors are available during specified drop-in hours and by appointment.

Appointments are schedule through EAB Navigate using your KSU email address. More information about EAB Navigate can be found: https://advising.kennesaw.edu/eab_navigate.php

Appointments are best to review semester course schedules, graduation plans, registration holds, major declaration changes, and other questions or concerns that could impact academics.

Drop-in hours are best used for quick questions or concerns and to inquire about important dates and deadlines. Some drop-in meetings may be converted to schedule appointments if the matter cannot be resolved quickly or needs follow up.

Drop-in opportunities are offered virtually through Microsoft Teams or in person. See the posted schedule for available times.
