Digital Fabrication Lab
Located in Building N Room 315, the Department of Architecture’s new Digital Fabrication Lab contains the department’s Laser cutters, vacuum forming machine and 3D printers.
Six laser cutting machines offer students the flexibility to create and design laser cut and score materials with bed sizes ranging from 18 x 24 in. to 36 x 48 in. and power ratings from 75 to 100 watts.
Six production-quality Stratasys 3D printers offer students the freedom to create small-scale prototypes and models of their designs in 3D from ABS plastic. The 3D printers have a capacity of up to 12 x 10 x12 in. The department also has a 24 x 24 in. capacity vacuum-forming machine.

Digital Fabrication Lab Protocols
- For Fall 2020 the Digital Fabrication Lab will be run like a job shop. Students will no longer be allowed inside the Digital Fabrication Lab.
- The process for requesting 3D printing, laser cutting, and vacuum forming has changed to an online/ email format. Please review the new process for requesting the work to be done.
- In order to reduce the workload for staff, no person project requests will be accepted.
- Work will be processed in the order it is received. There will be no rush jobs accepted.
