Welcome from the Dean

Interim Dean Siddiqi

Welcome to the College of Architecture and Construction Management (CACM).

The disciplines of Architecture and Construction Management are unique in their respective applications and scope. However, the collaboration of these disciplines creates built environments that shape our cities, communities, and, ultimately the lives of all residents.

The College of Architecture and Construction Management is one of ten degree granting colleges at Kennesaw State University and is home to accredited graduate and undergraduate programs in Architecture, Construction and Facility Management. Students earning these degrees are essential to employers for design, construction, and facility management positions in Georgia and other states. Georgia, and especially the Atlanta region, is a major hub for the construction industry in the southeastern United States. In fact, construction is a key sector that leads the economic development of the state.

CACM programs of study are supported by career development opportunities that enable our students to secure internship and, subsequently, full-time positions.  The College maintains close connections, and has close proximity to, our industry partners in architecture, related design fields and construction. We are committed to community engagement, community outreach and we take pride in our long-standing relationships with the local architects and construction professionals.

The CACM has state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. We also have a number of rewarding study abroad programs, scholarships and opportunities to participate in local and national student competitions. We provide opportunities and resources for our students to develop in leadership, critical and analytical skills, processing of ideas and concepts and, importantly, hands-on experiential learning in the classroom accompanied by excellent professional and industry exposure.

The college curriculum is dynamic in nature, responding to emerging trends in the design and construction industry as well as rapidly developing technologies. The education here not only results in constructing a rewarding career but serves to enrich the lives of our students and alumni far beyond the university experience.

I appreciate your interest in our College and hope that you will visit us and give us an opportunity to share program details and success stories of our graduates. We design pathways that can be constructed.

Again, welcome and Go Owls!
