Master of Science in Construction Management

Kennesaw State University's Construction Management Department began offering the Masters in Construction Management (M.S.) degree in 1995. The program is accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE).

KSU is located in Metropolitan Atlanta, which is the headquarters for many national and Georgia based construction organizations. Most of our students are able to get paid construction management jobs while earning their degrees at KSU due to location in the metro area.

The construction industry is expected to grow 85% to $15.5 trillion worldwide by 2025.  With trillions of dollars being invested in mega projects across the globe and a steady expansion of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, the construction industry is poised for a bright future and will need well-trained managers to oversee projects to completion.

The Kennesaw State Masters in Construction Management will prepare you to manage timelines, schedules, budgets, risks, regulations, and personnel in a fast-growing construction industry in the U.S.  When you complete the degree, you’ll be prepared to manage teams, for complex projects such as:

  • Residential home building and renovation
  • Heavy industrial construction
  • Commercial and institutional construction
  • Engineering construction

Leading construction companies of the region are represented on the KSU Construction Industry Advisory Board, who recruit from KSU and also provide networking opportunities to our students, which result in quick placement of our graduates.

Scholarships are also available for qualified candidates through the generosity of the board, alumni and other donors.

While generally project management is defined as managing resources over the life cycle of a project —when working in the construction industry your outlook must be broader. Construction management projects include a wider variety of constraints to consider that are specific to the design and build of construction projects. Construction project management can interact with a variety of different disciplines in the lifetime of a project as well, from architecture to engineering to public works to city planning.

You will choose the KSU Masters in Construction Management teaching models that best fit your goals and objectives.
